(Part one)
There was once a young and very beautiful princess. Her name was Nadia.
One morning she was near a fountain in the garden of her father’s palace. She
had a small golden ball. She played with her ball. Suddenly she threw the ball so
high in the air that she could not catch it and it fell in the water of the fountain.
Nadia looked for her small golden ball, but she could not fi nd it. She began to
cry and said, “I shall give anything to have my golden ball again!”
“Will you?” said a voice from the fountain. Nadia looked down and saw a frog
in the water.
“Of course I shall,” cried Nadia, “but what can you do, ugly frog?” “I shall bring
your golden ball. But then you will let me live with you, eat from a golden plate,
and sleep on your bed.” “Very well,” Nadia said to the frog.
“Bring me my golden ball and I shall do what you want.” The frog was happy.
It brought the golden ball and Nadia ran away. Soon she forgot about her promise.
The next day when Nadia was having supper she heard a strange noise
– tap, tap, tap, tap – and a voice said, “Open the door. You must keep your
promise.”

Nadia turned white. It was the frog’s voice. “You must keep your promise”,
the King said. “Go and open the door.” The poor princess opened the door and
the frog hopped into the room.

ONCE A MAN went to a place(վայր) to find some work. He came to a village(գյուղ) where he saw (տեսավ)people breaking up wood(փայտ)with their hands.

“Brothers,” he said, “why do it with your hands? Don’t you have an axe(կացին)?”

‘‘What’s an axe?” asked the villagers(գյուղացիներ).

The man took his axe from his belt(գոտի), cut the wood. Seeing this, the villagers ran through the village calling:

“Hey, everybody! Come and see what Brother Axe has done!”

The villagers gathered(հավաքվեցին) about the owner of the axe, asked him, gave him valuable gifts(արժեքավոր նվերներ) to take the axe from him.

The first day the king took the axe. As he wanted to cut with an axe, it fell on his foot and cut it. He started to cry with pain.

“Come here, everybody! Brother Axe has bitten(կծել) my foot.”

The villagers began to beat(ծեծել) the axe. Then they began to put it in the fire. The flames(բոցերը) rose high. When the fire had died down(հանգչել), they saw that the axe had turned red.

“Oh!” they cried, “Brother Axe is angry(բարկացել է). Look how red he has turned! What shall we do?

They finally decided(որոշեցին) to throw the axe into prison(բերդ). So they threw it into king’s barn(ամբար). The barn was full of hay(խոտ). As soon as the red-hot axe touched the hay a great fire started.

Terrified(Վախեցած), the villagers ran after its owner, they said, “Come, please, and bring Brother Axe to his senses(Կացին ախպորը խելքի բեր)!”

Sunday
Some children really don’t think. Our neighbour’s boy ran in front of a
car to get his ball. The car almost hit him. I saved him though.
Remember, always look and listen.
Monday
Walking on the street at night can be very dangerous, especially if you wear dark clothes. Car drivers
can’t see you very well, just like these two I had to take home. Luckily I never go out without my
reflective jacket and collar. Remember, BE SEEN!
Tuesday
People can get very angry when driving, usually for silly reasons. One driver started shouting at Mum
today when she stopped to let some children cross the road. I soon made him stop.
Wednesday
One thing makes me really mad. Grrrrrr. People walking on a dangerous road when they can walk on
the safe pavement. I saw two girls doing that today but I soon made them change their minds.
Thursday
Seat belts can save your life! I make sure everyone in our car wears their seat belt. If they forget, I
soon remind them. Even I’ve got one.
Friday
I like Fridays. The roads are quieter. But you still have to be careful. I caught Dad talking on his mobile
phone while driving. I soon stopped him though. Don’t worry, he got his phone back.
Saturday
Today Mum took me for a walk. One car was parked in a very dangerous place. It was right on the
corner of the street. Don’t worry though. I left him a message!

In a deep forest there lives a goat. She has a lovely black kiddy-ուլիկ. Every day she leaves –(թողնել) the kiddy at home and goes to the field to graze(արածել). In the evening she comes home, knocks(թակել) at the door and calls:

The kiddy listens and listens and then he asks.

The wolf goes away.

Soon the mother goat comes, knocks at the door and calls:

The kiddy opens the door, drinks his milk and tells his mother about the wolf.

At that moment mother goat gets angry and says to his son:

We welcomed the year 2024 with our family.This is one of my favorite holidays.I belive in the Christmas miracle and Santa Claus.Usually a month in advance, my sister and i send a letter to Lapland.My mother and grandmother are prepare our favorite dishes for New Year’s Eve. I really like the traditional TPOV TOLMA. The city was very impressively decorated in those days.I also walked in the city.

The wind and the sun are having a disagreement. 
“I am the most powerful!” says the wind.
“No, I am the most powerful!” says the sun.

“I can blow trees to the ground!”. “I can push ships across the ocean. I can make hurricanes and tornadoes!” 

“Is that right?” replies the sun. “Well, I can melt all the snow on the mountains. I can dry up a lake. I can make a sidewalk so hot that it cooks an egg!”

Just then, they see a man walking along the road in his winter jacket.
“Let’s have a contest to see who is more powerful,” says the wind. “Whoever can remove the man’s jacket first wins.” 
The sun agrees.
The wind goes first. He blows a gust of cold wind at the man. 
The man shivers and zips up his jacket. “Brrr! What a cold and windy day!” 

It starts to rain. The wind blows even harder and turns the rain into snow.
“Well look at that! It’s snowing!” says the man. “Snow wasn’t in the weather forecast today…”
He pulls his hood over his head.

The wind blows his strongest gust towards the man, but the man’s jacket stays on.
«Hmm. It’s a bit fresh today…” he says. “A winter storm must be coming…» He zips the jacket higher to cover his nose.
“Gah! This is impossible,” says the wind. He stops blowing.
“My turn!” says the sun. 
First the sun shines enough to stop the snow. The man unzips his hood.

Then the sun pulls the clouds apart and gently shines down on the man. Suddenly, it is a beautiful spring day.
“Wow. The weather sure is strange around here!” says the man. He unzips his jacket. 
The sun gently wiggles her fingers and increases the temperature. 

“What strange weather. Now it feels like summer!” the man says as he begins to sweat. «Goodness me, it’s so hot!»
He removes his winter jacket. He lies down on the grass for a nap in the warm sun.
«I win!» says the sun, beaming.
